Michelle Thayer
Michelle Thayer has over 40 years of personal & professional
dance experience. She is the Director of Dance FX Academy of the Arts and instructs
tap, jazz and specializes in the Star Program. She has choreographed for the Springfield Middle School, the Maumee High School, Ida High School and
Christ the King.
She is dedicated
to the development of the dancers and instructors of her school. She creates the desire in her students to learn and
to succeed.
Christopher Fellows
Mr. Fellows is a teacher of Classical Ballet and a freelance dancer. He taught
at Danceworks in Milwaukee and at the Milwaukee
Ballet School. He has also taught for the Alabama School of Fine Arts, Toledo
Classical Ballet Academy,
the Rafael Grigorian Ballet Theater and the Illinois Youth Dance Academy.
\Mr. Fellows received his training from the School of American Ballet, Ithaca Ballet and from Rafael Grigorian. He was previously a member
of the Milwaukee Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, the Alabama Ballet and the Chautauqua Ballet Company. He has danced
principal roles in ballets such as Dracula, The
Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella,
The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Taming
of the Shrew, The Moor’s Pavane.
Lani Denman
Lani has been dancing for 20 years and teaching for 10. She absolutely loves working with
children. Her passion is for jazz and lyrical, but loves star classes as well!
Stephanie L. Dennehy
Stephanie
L. Dennehy has performed with such prestigious groups as Michigan Shakespeare Festival, Purple Rose, Performance Network, Tipping
Point and the Jewish Ensemble Theatre. She has done choreography for all previously mentioned groups as well as Croswell Opera House and various
high schools and colleges in Ohio and southeast Michigan. She has taught dance and theatre in both MI and OH at Toledo School
for the Arts, BGSU, and Dance FX. She has received Excellence in Acting and Outstanding in Performance awards from the
Ohio Community Theatre Association for her roles in Songs For A New World and Little Women, The Musical (3B Productions).
Stephanie also just received an Outstanding in Direct/Choreography for CHORUS LINE at OCTA. Stephanie was also
honored for her achievements on the Wall of Fame in her hometown of Grayling, MI. She received her BFA from Western Michigan
University in Musical Theatre Performance and continues to increase her knowledge by taking classes from Purple Rose and dance
teachers in the area.
Sara Wegrzyn
Sara Wegrzyn has 21 years dance experience, including 4 years dancing competitively. She minored in dance
at Bowling Green State University and was a member of the University Performing Dancers, which included various performance
opportunities, and was awarded Outstanding Graduating Dance Minor. Sara was
recently awarded two outstanding choreography awards for her choreography for Dance FX. She currently teaches
troupe, tap, jazz, and lyrical classes at Dance FX. Sara also has a Master's degree in community counseling, aside from
her passion for teaching dance.
Nicole Fridrick Nicole Fridrick is orginally from Sylvania and now resides in Toledo.
She has seventeen years of personal and professional dance experience including seven years at a competitive level. She
graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelors of Health Sciences in Forensics with minors in Chemistry, Microbiology,
Psychology and Criminology. She continued her dance training throughout her college years. She balances
her life through being a Pathology Assistant in Surgical Pathology and dance. She currently teaches Troupe and intermediate
to advanced jazz and tap at Dance FX.
Christina Roque

Kristin Fridrick Kristin grew up in Sylvania and
started dancing at the age of five. She danced competitively for thirteen years. She has a degree in psychology from Ohio
University. She danced and choreographed during her college years and is happy to be home and to be a part of the Dance
FX faculty. She teaches jazz and Troupe JR jazz.
Christine Reed
Christine Reed graduated from Bowling Green State
University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with two minor concentrations in Dance and in Arts
Management. While studying at BGSU, Christine was a dancer and choreographer
of University Performing Dancers, a pre-professional modern dance company for three years; performed at the American College
Dance Festival in faculty and guest artist works as well as having the opportunity to showcase her own student choreography;
and won the Outstanding Graduating Dance Minor award, given by dance program faculty.
She dances with the Open Window Dance Company, a modern dance company that infuses Asian movement forms with contemporary
modern dance. She also recently performed at Bates Dance Festival in Maine where
she interned in Arts Administration. Christine is currently teaching creative
movement and dance technique classes to students at the Imagine Schools-Madison Avenue School of the Arts in Toledo, Ohio,
where she also teaches reading and math as a Title I Teacher. At Dance FX Christine
teaches troupe, lyrical and modern.
